Lindqvist & Vogler Duo: “We plan to record some of the 'Songs of sun and shade'” of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor

[Samuel Coleridge-Taylor]

Samuel Coleridge-Taylor (1875-1912) is profiled at AfriClassical.com. Earlier today, July 3, 2011, AfriClassical posted: “YouTube: Lindqvist & Vogler Duo Perform 'When I am dead, my dearest' (2:35) by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor.” The work was performed by soprano Hélène Lindqvist and pianist Philipp Vogler, known as the Lindqvist & Vogler Duo. Hélène Lindqvist has replied to the post:

“Hey! Thanks for featuring us! We plan to record some of the 'Songs of sun and shade' now in July.”

Prof. Dominique-René de Lerma of Casa Musicale de Lerma published Black Composers In Europe: A Works List, in Black Music Research Journal, Vol. 10, No. 2, Fall 1990. Much of the article is devoted to a Works List for Samuel Coleridge-Taylor. Here is an excerpt pertaining to Songs of sun and shade:
