Eric Conway: Morgan State’s Shirley Dunlap directs the play "Red Velvet" about Ira Aldridge, one of the most notable African-American thespian pioneers

Morgan State’s Theatre Arts Coordinator Shirley Basfield Dunlap will direct the play Red Velvet, the story about the life of Ira Aldridge, one of the most notable African-American thespian pioneers.  The play will be presented at the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company at 7 Calvert Street, Baltimore, MD 21202 with performances on weekends throughout the month of February - see link to scheduled performances below:
