friend invited me to the October 8, 2016 Los Angeles Opera production
of Macbeth. I am reminded some years ago around 1995, i booked Los
Angeles performances of the South African production titled Umabatha
(Macbeth) as part of a North American tour. I was very disappointed when
the national promoter of the tour cancelled because enough dates were
not sold in North American cities. The story of Umabatha and similarities
