AACI has been awarded a $10,000 matching grant from the Carpenter Fund of the Philanthropic Ventures Foundation. It will double your contribution.

Valerie Capers and John Robinson, at right, will be featured in upcoming concerts.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. We are deep into planning the AACI concerts for January 30 and 31. Our 2016 concerts are a special West Coast celebration of the incomparable New York pianist, composer, and arranger Dr. Valerie Capers, who together with bassist John Robinson will be joining the musicians of AACI in a thrilling program of vocals and instrumentals.

In our last letter, we mentioned the that AACI has been awarded a $10,000 matching grant from the Carpenter Fund of the Philanthropic Ventures Foundation.  The matching grant will double your contribution. Your donations will pay for production costs and compensate the composers from whom the AACI has commissioned new works for our concerts.

When we raise $5,000, we will receive $5,000 in matching funds. If we can raise a second $5,000, we will receive an additional $5,000 in matching funds.

Donations in any amount will help us reach this goal.

To donate, please visit
and select AACI from the drop-down menu.

Thank you so much for your support,

LaDoris Cordell, Jodi Gandolfi, and Deanne Tucker
