On April 16 at the Theatre des Champs-Elysees in Paris Africa Lyric Opera will present Les Grandes Voix Lyriques d'Afrique a program of operas arias sung by the leading opera singers of African descent to benefit young Black opera singers

Africa Lyric's Opera returns to the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées for an exceptional charity evening, given jointly for the benefit of young opera artists of diversity, the construction of a music conservatory in Cameroon and the training of women in Africa in the field of high-tech, one of the flagship programs of Women Of Africa which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. 

The Voix Lyriques Noires d'Afrique, the United States and France, will meet tonight for an exciting and committed program mixing the great classics of the Opera (Gershwin, Verdi, Mozart, Bellini, Purcell, Puccini, Bizet, Massenet, Donizetti, Rossini, Wagner, Strauss, Tchaikovsky, Dvořák...), traditional and sacred works of the African repertoire and in preview, excerpts from the new historical opera of Africa Lyric's Opera. A solidarity evening that promises to be simply "breathtaking".
