8-12-21 reunion with cousin Julienne Malveaux at Hollywood Bowl. Dr. Malveaux relocated to Los Angeles from New York for a new position at California State University Los Angeles-Dean of Ethnic Studies. However, she loves beaches and has not visited Long Beach to date. Maestro Dudamel and the LA Phil opened with living African American composer Adolphus Hailstork 'An American Port of Call'. A contemporary of Mozart, Joseph Bologne—or Chevalier de Saint-Georges, as he called himself—was an outstanding Afro European composer, violin virtuoso, and stellar conductor. Violinist Randall Goosby performed Saint-Georges’ dynamic Ninth Violin Concerto to conclude the 1st half . The 2nd half featured Maestro Dudamel's glowing interpretation of Dvořák’s “New World” Symphony. See pic with Dr. Malveaux and pic of violinist Randall Goosby
