William,

You and your readers will be interested to know that I will be playing, on my weekly classical music program on WHPK-FM in Chicago on Tuesday March 23, Stewart Goodyear's brilliant recordings of the Beethoven sonatas No. 21 ("Waldstein") and No. 29 ("Hammerklavier") from his complete set of Beethoven piano sonatas on the Marquis Music label

The American Music Guide said about the recording that "Goodyear is a master pianist... Each sonata exists in its own world and each is approached as its own entity. Never was there a feeling of sameness about the playing, and never did I feel that the artist was giving less than his best... Stewart Goodyear may come closest yet in performing these sonatas to the way I believe the master himself might have done them... this entire set [is] among the foremost to be had... I'll go with Goodyear as first choice."

Also on the program will be Charles Ives Symphonies Nos. 2 and 4 and Richard Strauss "Metamorphosen" for 23 solo strings.

And as always my show can be heard every Tuesday 12 noon-3PM (CST) and livestream worldwide on the station website on http://www.whpk.org.

Sergio
