Eric Conway: Darrin Scott sings National Anthem at Baltimore Orioles baseball game!

Dr. Eric Conway writes on Wednesday, September 2:

Hello Morgan Fine and Performing Arts Community,

This afternoon,  Darrin Scott, Morgan State University Choir member, who is a junior in our Music program, was chosen to sing our national anthem for this afternoon's September 2nd Baltimore Orioles baseball game against the New York Mets.

Given our pandemic when no one can physically attend our major league sporting events, Darrin pre-recorded the anthem at the most fitting site imaginable, inside Baltimore’s own Fort McHenry, where our national anthem was written.

We all know how individual the anthem can be when performed.  See link below to Darrin’s masterful rendition of our national anthem - representing both the choir and greater Morgan community well!

Congratulations Darrin!
