Julian Lloyd Webber - A voyage around my father’s music -episode 5- William Lloyd Webber Willow Song
Michela Cocolin
Julian Lloyd Webber introduces some favourite pieces of his father’s
music
William Lloyd Webber was born in 1914. He studied composition with Ralph
Vaughan Williams at the Royal College of Music and was an accomplished
organist and choirmaster. His own music was highly romantic in style and
he became increasingly convinced that it was ‘out of step’ with the
times. By the mid-1950’s he had virtually stopped composing altogether.
