NOBLE NOTICE: Response to COVID-19

NOBLE members and supporters,

The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) stands with you, your families, communities, our nation, and the world as we collectively navigate the enormous impact of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). Let me first thank the brave officers, deputies, first responders, and healthcare workers who are helping to keep our communities safe while providing critical medical care.  Your safety is at the forefront of our prayers. Your selfless service to humanity is exactly why you were chosen to be in a position of compassion and caring.  Our prayers and thoughts are with each and every one of you.

The NOBLE World Headquarters, led by Executive Director Dwayne A. Crawford and Deputy Director Keenon M. James, have been working tirelessly to develop and implement solutions to ensure the business of serving our constituents continues.  Together with the NOBLE Executive Board, we have been deploying the recommendations from federal and state governments, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the World Health Organization to ensure our employees, members, and partners are operating safely.

As you are aware, we have postponed the 2020 William R. Bracey CEO Symposium and are actively reviewing all operational plans for the remainder of the year.  We are working with our stakeholders and headquarters staff to develop innovative solutions to help ensure the delivery of world class customer service.

Our chapters and members are critical ambassadors of our NOBLE work and we value all that you all do to make "Justice by Action" a reality.  Our chapter leaders will receive specific guidance on chapter meetings, events, and NOBLE programs in the coming days.

Our headquarters office remains open and operational.  We are working to ensure the staff has a safe working environment and practice social distancing while responding to the needs of our members and constituents. Many thanks to the NOBLE World Headquarters Office team for working diligently to serve our leadership, chapters, members, and communities during this unprecedented time.

We do not have all the answers or know when things will return to "normal."  However, I am committed to overcoming the challenges in partnership and collaboration with you.

  Cerelyn J. Davis
  NOBLE National President
