Art of Elan’s popular downtown series returns, with a special show that fuses electronic and classical music elements in partnership with the David’s Harp Foundation, an innovative mentorship organization that serves homeless and foster teens, as well as those affected by the Juvenile Justice system, in its Sony-sponsored studio facility in San Diego’s downtown East Village neighborhood.

Art of Elan’s musical program features works that have electronic or electro-acoustic elements, written by today’s hottest composers Andy Akiho, Missy Mazzoli, Eve Beglarian, Javier Temazcal and San Diego native Diego Rodriguez. Both the Akiho and Mazzoli will be receiving their San Diego premieres as a result of this special collaborative show featuring members of the San Diego Symphony and the Hausmann Quartet.

We’re elated to announce that we got the grant! The California Arts Council has awarded Art of Élan a grant for our Young Artists in Harmony program as part of its biggest investment in arts and culture statewide since 2001. Get all the details in the CAC’s latest press release.

We are eager to announce next season, with expanded Community Engagement programs thanks to the California Arts Council, but we could still use your support this season to help us finish strong.
