This
year’s festival will celebrate and recognize musicians of African
descent with ties to the Volunteer State and their contributions to the
rich musical and cultural canon of our society. The day will feature a
lecture performance, choral clinics, vocal masterclasss, and a gala
concert, open to the public, in support of the H. T. Burleigh Fund for
Vocal Studies at Tennessee State University. In addition to the
sessions, The Burleigh Festival offers solo vocal and choral
opportunities in lecture presentation, vocal masterclass, and the
Burleigh Festival Chorus.
