At 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, [Peter] Serkin will be the featured soloist
with the Vermont Symphony Orchestra in Béla Bartók’s neo-classical Piano
Concerto No. 3. Music Director Jaime Laredo will also conduct Johannes
Brahms’ Symphony No. 4 in E minor, Op. 98, and “Lyric for Strings” by
George Walker (the first African-American composer to win a Pulitzer).
