and pianist Althea Waites has been invited to perform at the National
Arts Festival in Grahamstown/Eastern
Cape in South Africa June 29-July 9, 2017. The festival is the biggest
annual celebration of the arts on the African continent. Pianist Althea
Waites will perform 4 recitals featuring music by Margaret Bonds, William
Grant Still and works which have been written
for and dedicated to her by Curt Cacioppo,composer and Professor of
Music at Haverford College.
