Award-winning artists Karen Clark Sheard & jessica Care moore join the Sphinx Symphony Orchestra & University of Michigan Men's Glee Club at 20th Annual Sphinx Finals

Presented by the DTE Energy Foundation, the Sphinx Competition Finals Concert features three top classical musicians of color accompanied by the Sphinx Symphony Orchestra with guest conductor Thomas Wilkins, as they compete for the $50,000 Robert Frederick Smith Prize and the "Sphinx Audience Choice Award" sponsored by Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. Award-winning artists Karen Clark Sheard and jessica Care moore join the Sphinx Symphony Orchestra and the University of Michigan Men's Glee Club in a performance of John Legend's "Glory." Under the direction of Eugene Rogers, Sphinx will also present a newly-composed work titled "The Seven Last Words of the Unarmed" by composer Joel Thompson. This commission is made possible in part with the support of Linda and Stuart Nelson.
