Maestro Marlon Daniel writes:
Just wanted to share photos from my first residency project with Columbia University Teachers College.
I
get to do cool stuff like perform concerts, head lecture and panels and
most important this time to work with the fantastic young elementary
school students and budding musicians of TCCS! Kids are our future and
EDUCATION is key. Over 150 children were in attendance. I feel honored
to have had the opportunity to touch their lives.
My first agenda was Diversity in Classical Music and of course I started with the life and legacy of Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges and a presentation of BEFORE THERE WAS MOZART with the authors Lesa and James Ransome.
Musically,
Marlon
