A
warm and beautiful burial ceremony today for the much-loved and
well-respected jazz master, Gerald Wilson, at Holy Cross in Culver City.
Friends and family shared about his life and accomplishments.
His
wife, Josefina, mentioned that she received calls from all over the
world. His son, Anthony Wilson, played some amazing jazz-solo guitar!
Many of his big band members and colleagues were in attendance like
Kamasi Washington, Kenny Burrell, Hubert Laws, Bennie Maupin, Bubba
Jackson, Stix Hooper, Leroy Downs, Bobby Rodriguez, and many many more.
