Pearl GEMM CD 9965
On April 13, 2013 AfriClassical posted: Heritage Masters CD 'Music of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor: Hiawatha's Wedding Feast, Othello Suite, Petite Suite de Concert, Four Characteristic Valses'

Thanks William,
I note that this CD (much welcomed reissue) includes recordings
by the Bournemouth Municipal Orchestra which was founded in 1893 by Dan Godfrey and which
premiered Coleridge-Taylor’s Symphony in A minor in 1900. (This
seems to get referred to as Dan Godfrey’s orchestra somewhere – is it
the same?) Interestingly, I have a copy of Pearl GEMM CD 9965 which
previously featured these Godfrey recordings. I hope that this gets reissued
again and look out for Clifford Greenwoods 1939 recording of
Coleridge-Taylor’s ‘Three Dream Dances’ included.
Kind regards
Mike
