Meet The Rosoff Award Winners
Tuesday May 15th, The Ad Club hosted our 16th Annual Rosoff Awards, honoring organizations and individuals whom have made a commitment to meaningful diversity and inclusion in the Greater Boston community. The event was held at The State Room, which if you haven’t been, has an amazing view of downtown Boston!
Our keynote
speaker for the evening was Thomas Wilkins. Conductor for the BSO,
pictured above. The Maestro set the tone for the night with a moving
keynote about “invitation” as seen through Beethoven’s 5th
symphony. The Maestro pounded his hands and sang and hummed, and told a
lengthy story with only a few bars of music that we’ve all heard a
thousand times before. The sincerity of his passion was clear to all in
the room, and really set the tone for the sincere individuals about to
cross the stage and be honored with a Rosoff Award.
Once the
Maestro wrapped up on stage, to a thunderous applause, it was time to
move onto awards. Our Emcee for the night, Yadires Nova-Salcedo, host of
“Centro” on WBZ-TV was introduced by Kathy Kiely, and we were off and
running. Awards for the night would be given out in five categories:
