Dr. Gilbert Pryor

The McLean Symphony

Maestro Dingwall Fleary of The McLean Symphony in Tyson's Corner, Virginia writes:

Hello Bill.

NOTE:  If you haven't seen the website of The McLean Symphony recently, your blog readers might be interested in a concert I'll be conducting next Sunday afternoon at 4:00, It will be the closing program of the season celebrating my/our 50th anniversary. Aptly titled, "Remembering Juneteenth!" it will take place at 4 PM in the Vault Theater of the new Capital One Hall at Tyson's Corner.

Seating is limited in that venue... If you've never heard Bryan Jackson, you'll want to, and the piece I commissioned my friend Dr Pryor to create  -  based on 3 Civil Rights songs - is a knockout! It's written for full orchestra with solo trumpet, trombone and sax. I/we (the trio) premiered the piece last month with my other group, the Reston Community Orchestra.

The McLean Symphony website has the details about Sunday. Don't hesitate to call anytime.
