THE SEATTLE SYMPHONY ANNOUNCES UPDATED STREAMING SCHEDULE FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE 2021/2022 SEASON
SEATTLE SYMPHONY LIVE DELIVERS AT-HOME VIEWING OPTIONS THROUGHOUT THE 2021/2022 SEASON
Seattle, WA — The
Seattle Symphony announces its upcoming livestreaming events offered
throughout the rest of the 2021/2022 season. The Symphony is pleased to
safely continue in-person concerts at Benaroya Hall while additionally
offering livestream options for many select concerts on the Symphony's
streaming service, Seattle Symphony Live. Through
its streaming platform, the Symphony aims to increase the range of
streamed performances, creating more access to powerful symphonic music
for a global audience. At-home viewing allows not only audiences in Seattle, but those around the world to experience the thrill of symphonic music performed live at Benaroya Hall.
The
Seattle Symphony is excited to announce that the updated streaming
calendar includes some of the most heavily anticipated programs of the
season.

On June 9, Wayne Marshall Plays & Conducts Gershwin
finds Marshall leading the orchestra through Gershwin’s affectionate,
jazz-filled postcard from 1920s Paris from his seat at the piano. On
June 16, Seattle Symphony Live will stream Verdi Requiem,
a monumental work that showcases an extraordinary cast of soloists
joining the orchestra and Seattle Symphony Chorale, including vocalists Latonia Moore, Silvia Beltrami, Bruce Sledge and Dashon Burton.
These streamed programs are emblematic of many of the Symphony’s
priorities coming together. Viewers will hear rarely performed music,
see guest artists with diverse backgrounds and listen to impactful music
with historical significance.
Seattle Symphony Live broadcasts concerts for on-demand viewing a full week after the initial livestream. The platform features concerts considered season highlights, including premieres and commissions, Family Concerts, Tiny Clips, and Special Performances. The Seattle Symphony also continues to provide a full range of educational programs and supplemental materials online for the 2021/2022 season through Seattle Symphony Live for free to the public. Monthly subscriptions to Seattle Symphony Live are priced at $12.99 per month; annual subscriptions are $129.99.
