Born in New Orleans as a free man in 1827, he became a conductor, and composer in Paris and Bordeaux, France.

OperaCreole work is making sure his work is hidden no more.

We will share his comedy sketch, operatic arias, and art songs.

Our resident artists will also open the evening

This will be an intimate evening of conversation and singing.

She will honor us with arias from operas tied to early New Orleans history, such as Norma, Le Cid, La Juive, Tosca, and Aida.
