"Alone Together" on March 21 includes Adolphus Hailstork's "Bassoon Set" for Solo Bassoon

(PRINCETON, NJ) -- On Sunday, March 21 at 3:00pm, Westminster Conservatory will release a virtual faculty recital on the Conservatory's Facebook page [https://www.facebook.com/westminsterconservatory].  The recital will be posted under the heading Westminster Conservatory Presents and will remain on the page after March 21.  The recital, titled Alone Together, features primarily works for solo instrument, reflecting the isolation currently experienced by most musicians.

The program comprises two works for flute alone, Danse de la chèvre by Arthur Honegger and The Children Are Playing by Carl August Nielsen; Paul Turok's Partita for solo oboe, Adolphus Hailstork's Bassoon Set for solo bassoon; Sonata for two alto recorders by Georg Philip Telemann; and the Sonatina for Clarinet and Piano by Alyssa Wicklund.  It will conclude with a set of variations, Les Folies d'Espagne by Marin Marais, in a collective performance by all the recital participants.
