Hello Fine and Performing Arts Community,
It
is with a heavy heart that I must share the news of the passing of our
dear Shirley Basfield Dunlap. Shirley was the Coordinator of our
Theatre Arts program in the Fine and Performing Arts Department. Most
recently, Shirley directed the stellar Theatre Morgan production of
August Wilson's The Piano Lesson. I received notice of her
passing yesterday, and was devastated. Cheryl Williams was by her side
during her last breaths. She was a colleague who raised the standards
of all who came in contact with her. Please join me in lifting her
family and extended family up in prayer!
