AN UPDATE FROM YOUR CHICAGO SINFONIETTA FAMILY
Chicago Sinfonietta is committed to the health and safety of our community. We are monitoring the development of the coronavirus (COVID-19) closely, and are receiving updates from the City of Chicago and the Chicago Department of Public Health, the City of Naperville, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We
know that many of you have received communications from organizations
about the COVID-19 crisis, so please forgive one more.
In light of new guidance issued by the State of Illinois and the City of Chicago to help minimize the spread of COVID-19, Chicago Sinfonietta closed our offices on Monday, March 16th, 2020. Our staff is now working remotely, and reachable by email. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
As a precautionary measure, we have cancelled all community events through May 15.

As of today, our Fusion + Fuego concert series on May 9 and 11
has been postponed. We have secured an alternate date to perform in
Chicago on Monday, June 22, and are exploring opportunities to
live-stream the performance. We are prioritizing the health of
our audience, musicians and staff by communicating changes that ensure a
safe environment for everyone, and we will send an email if any new
developments occur closer to the June concert date. If you have
purchased tickets to the May concert series, please stay tuned for a
follow-up email which outlines your ticketing options. This situation has evolved rapidly, and we appreciate your patience.
We highly encourage those who feel unwell or who may be at increased
risk to stay at home. As the CS staff works remotely, we will be sharing
concert highlights, musician talks, and small performances on our
social media channels. If you have ideas for specific music or previous concerts you’d like to see, please send us a note.
