and leaders in

- 8, 2020 in Detroit.







The Sphinx Venture Fund 
aims to fund highly 
impactful programs 
affecting extensive and 
measurable positive 
change. Through 
competitive grants, SVF 
will catalyze initiatives 
designed to solve a 
challenge or an issue 
related to DE&I in the 
sphere of the performing 
arts, with an emphasis 
on classical music. 


Gain valuable arts 
administration experience 
while assisting with 
SphinxConnect or the 
Annual Sphinx Competition. 
Liaisons work directly with 
Senior Director of Arts 
Leadership and Chief of 
Artist Engagement to aid 
with day to day operation 
of the programs.

Dates: February 4 – 8, 
2020 in Detroit, MI

Excellence recipient J'Nai 
Bridges, mezzo-soprano, 
will make her 
debut this season as 
Nefertiti in Akhnaten.

Audition Support is 
excited to have 70 
orchestra partners this 
year! For a complete list

Applications for NAAS 
grants are now live 
through a new platform. 


The NAAS is building 
a national database 
of professional Black 
and Latinx musicians. 
Our aim is two-fold: 
1) create a 
centralized directory 
of musicians and 2) 
connect musicians of 
color with orchestras 
and other artistic 
institutions for 
engagement 
opportunities.
