John Malveaux: Annelle Gregory was soloist in 150th anniversary of Emancipation

As a high school teen in 2012, violinist Annelle Kazumi Gregory was a soloist during the 150th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation Concert co-presented by MusicUNTOLD and KUSC classical radio. Violinist Sanford Allen, first African American violinist hired by the New York Philharmonic as a regular member also performed on the program. Annelle subsequently attended USC Thornton School of Music, studied under Glenn Dicterow (retired concert master of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra) where she graduated summa cum laude.
