Strings will open its tenth annual season of Summer Strings with the
upcoming “Guest Artists Faculty Chamber Concert” Monday, July 9 at 6:00
p.m. at the historical First Congregational Church, 165 E. Mill. There
will be no admission charge, and the public is invited to attend.
The
program will present musical masterpieces of several well-known
Romantic and Classical composers, coupled with exciting new works of
more contemporary American composers.
String
quartets, always the mainstay of a chamber concert, will feature works
by the American composer William Grant Still and the Italian opera
composer Giacomo Puccini.
