NOBLE is assisting the City of Fairburn, GA with the search for their next Chief of Police.
 
Qualifications & Experience:
 
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, police science, public administration, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. A graduate degree is highly preferred.
 
Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of police department operations and management, public administration of local governments, and knowledge of best practices in the management of municipal police services. A combination of qualified education, experience and training may be acceptable for consideration. Advance training such as the Southern Police Institute, FBI National Academy, Northwestern School of Staff & Command or an equivalent advanced program is preferred.
 
Ten or more years of increasingly responsible law enforcement experience, including a minimum of 3 years of management and administrative responsibilities at the rank of Major or higher is required.
 
Qualified candidates must possess or be able to obtain a valid Georgia driver's license, Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST) law enforcement certification, and satisfactorily complete the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police Chief Executive Training class as prescribed by law. Candidates must also be able to successfully pass a comprehensive background investigation.
 
Salary & Benefits:

Salary Range is $83,000 - $105,000 annually, depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. A comprehensive benefits package is also provided.
