Chicago Symphony Orchestra African American Network

Explore the rich musical traditions of late 19th- and 20th-century Haitian romantic piano repertoire in a recital performed by former Civic Orchestra Principal Pianist Marianne Parker. Works will include repertoire by renowned composer Ludovic Lamothe and other pieces that blend African and French influences to express Haiti’s multi-faceted cultural identity.
