University of California Irvine Symphony, under the baton of conductor Stephen Tucker, featured composers of African descent to conclude the three-day College Orchestra Directors Association Conference  February 3, 2018 at Soka Performing Arts Center. Dr. Stephen Tucker's objective was to stimulate research and performance from a treasure of little known contemporary classical music by composers of African descent.
