Errollyn Wallen: As we leave another year and glide into the next I send you my warm good wishes.

Errollyn Wallen writes:

OLD AND NEW

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

As we leave another year and glide into the next I send you my warm good wishes.

2017 brought me a wide array of projects and travel to many new countries. I have worked with refugees, expats, exiles, immigrants — and those who have never left their place of birth. These first-hand experiences of so many different cultures and customs are already enriching the music I am composing.

“For last year's words belong to last year's language
And next year's words await another voice.”
