Sept 8, 2017 attended LA Jazz Treasure Award performance honoring pianist, composer, and conductor Lalo Schifrin at Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Lalo Schifrin has been successful in both jazz and classical music and may be best known for his large body of film and television scores. Lalo befriended Dizzy Gillespie in Argentina and Dizzy brought him to the United States and hired him as pianist in his band. He has earned four Grammy Awards and his Mission: Impossible theme has been inducted into the GRAMMY Hall of Fame.
