Part 24-LBCAA 30 year history

Californians voted in a 1911 special election to give women the right to vote. It took another nine years for all women to gain equal voting rights when the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified in 1920. On October 30, 2016, MusicUNTOLD partnered with Long Beach League of Women Voters to present an education and arts celebration titled WOMEN RIGHT TO VOTE at City of Long Beach Recreation Park historic band shell (outdoor). The celebration was a reminder that the FIRST FOUNDING was imperfect but the amendment process has granted additional diversity and inclusion since September 17, 1778.
