CHICAGO’S SOUTH SIDE COMMUNITIES IN 2016/17 
Zell Music Director Riccardo Muti Leads CSO in Free 
Community Concert at 
Apostolic Church of God in 
Woodlawn on October 13

Series of Free Concerts and Events begin in 
November and include 
CSO All-Access Chamber 
Music Concerts, Civic Orchestra’s Third Annual 
Bach Marathon and Civic Orchestra Chamber 
Music Concerts

Programs Offered in South Side Venues 
including South Shore Cultural Center, Kenwood 
Academy and the Logan Center for the Arts


CHICAGO—The CSOA presents
a series of free 
concerts and events on
Chicago’s south side 
in multiple venues
during the 2016/17 season.
Serving as an overture to the series of
2016/17 free concerts and events is a
free community concert featuring
CSO Zell Music Director Riccardo Muti
leading the CSO in an all-Beethoven
program at Apostolic Church of God
(6320 South Dorchester Avenue,
Chicago) on
Thursday, October 13, at
7:30 p.m.
 The October 13 concert
in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood
extends a tradition of free CSO
community concerts that began in 2010,
at the start of Muti’s tenure as music 
director.
