Trinity Laban has awarded honorary fellowships to Chi-chi Nwanoku and Aaron Dworkin.
The honours were presented at the Sphinx Global Symposium on Diversity in Classical Music at the Southbank Centre on 18 July.
Dworkin is dean of the University of Michigan’s School of Music,
Theatre and Dance and founder of the Sphinx Organisation, a
Detroit-based organisation which aims to transform lives through the
power of diversity and the arts.
He was presented with a fellowship in recognition of the
‘internationally significant contribution’ that he has made ‘in
advancing opportunity and transforming lives through the power of
diversity in the arts.

Nwanoku is double bassist, principal and founder member of the Orchestra
of the Age of Enlightenment, and founder and artistic director of the
Chineke! Foundation.
