ASALH cordially invites you to attend the 90th Annual Black History Luncheon and Featured Authors' Event  on Saturday, February 20, 2016, at the Washington Renaissance Hotel, in Washington, D.C. Festivities begin at 10 a.m. with the Featured Authors' Book Signing. Over 30 authors will sign and sell their books. 

The doors for the luncheon will open at noon and the program will begin at 12:15 pm. Join us as ASALH enters its second century and celebrate the 2016 theme - Hallowed Grounds: Sites of African American Memories.

The keynote speaker is Dr. Karsonya "Kaye" Wise Whitehead, assistant professor, Department of Communication, Loyola University Maryland; and Founding Executive Director, The Emilie Frances Davis Center for Education, Research, and Culture. 

Ms. A'Lelia Bundles, a long time journalist and author, Chair and President of the National Archives Foundation and a Columbia University trustee will serve as the emcee for the afternoon. 

This is an afternoon that you will not want to miss.

A special hotel rate has been secured at the Marriott Marquis for guest who are coming in from out of town.
