cherished Sinfonietta tradition since its founding in 1987 by Dr. Paul
Freeman, the 2016 MLK tribute concert celebrates the life, legacy and
vision of Dr. King through
a diverse program that includes symphonic masterworks and gospel music.
This year’s
Annual MLK Tribute concert lead by
Sinfonietta Music Director Mei-Ann Chen includes the Chicago premiere of Conni Ellisor and
five-time Grammy® Award winning artist Victor Wooten’s The Bass Whisperer featuring Wooten himself plus guest performances by Apostolic Church of God Sanctuary Choir.
