David France, Revolution of Hope: I was challenged today to say "THANK YOU" to someone I could never repay and immediately you came to mind.

David France of Boston's Revolution of Hope writes:

Happy Thanksgiving

I was challenged today to say "THANK YOU" to someone I could never repay and immediately you came to mind.   Your support of our mission to transform the lives of inner city youth through a world-class orchestra has created a musical home for these incredible young people after school. The connections in our orchestra family are stronger than they've ever been and the commitment to their instruments matches their love for each other.

We are so incredibly thankful for being gifted the opportunity to have our FIRST office space in the new Workbar in Union Square.

In the next few weeks we have some excited events.  On December 1st we will be the 1st charity featured in Boston's new "24 Days of Charity." People all over the country will bid on an exclusive trips and the proceeds benefit our program. Also, on December 9th we will host our 2nd annual Aspire: Young Professionals Holiday Party.  This is a fun evening of food and drinks featuring the Roxbury Youth Orchestra with proceeds benefiting our program.  Thanks for being a part of our family!

Here are a few highlights from this fall and a some memorable quotes from our students
  • Performance at soft launch of Beta Burger
  • Office space at Workbar Union Square
  • Performance at City Year
  • Fall Service Project feeding 120 homeless in Boston/Cambridge
  • Hosted "Dare to Aspire String teacher workshop" with 90 teachers from the East Coast
  • New faculty members:
    • Kiyoshi (New England Conservatory of Music)
    • Ashley (Boston Conservatory)
Here's what the students have to say
"I hope we don't have too many snow days this winter 'cause I really like coming to this program after school." -Jahime
"See how much I like this program? Tomorrow I have 3 tests, a binder review, and a project due and I STILL came!" -Ellie

This orchestra brings so much joy to the kids.  Together we are transforming lives and building brighter futures—but without you, it just wouldn't be possible.  Thank you so much for your support!

For the JOY of our youth,
David France
