Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater will make its big screen debut on October 22, 2015 at 7pm in select theaters across the United States

In advance of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater’s 5-week holiday engagement at New York City Center and 20-city North American Tour, the Company will make its national big screen debut on October 22 at 7pm as part of Lincoln Center at the Movies: Great American Dance.   This is an exciting first for Ailey, and a special one-night-only opportunity.
 
Film highlights:
·         The film is directed by Matthew Diamond and includes performances of four popular works – Artistic Director Robert Battle’s Takademe, Ronald K. Brown’s Grace, Wayne McGregor’s Chroma, and Alvin Ailey’s iconic masterpiece Revelations
·         It is hosted by Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan and it includes rare behind-the-scenes footage and exclusive interviews with the artists.
