John Malveaux: Soprano Jumi Kim of Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, CA has accepted an invitation to sing during the 150th Anniversary 13th Amendment

Performer & voice teacher Jumi Kim at Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo, Ca. has accepted an invitation to sing during the 150th Anniversary 13th Amendment US Constitution Abolition of Slavery CONCERT on November 21, 2015 at DAR Constitution Hall. Soprano Jumi Kim will sing the world premiere of an original poem with music dedicated to the legacy of President Barack Obama in the English language composed by South Korean educator/composer Joo Poong Kim in Seoul, Korea. Dr. Joo Poong Kim has not revealed the title of the poem to date.

Dr. Jumi Kim also sang the world premiere of an art song dedicated to the legacy of Dr. MLK Jr. titled 'Candle light' for soprano with pianist Phoenix Park Kim in the Korean language composed by Dr. Joo Poong Kim on August 18, 2013 in Los Angeles. The concert was produced by MusicUNTOLD in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of March on Washington and Dr. King's 'I Have A Dream Speech'. Please see photo taken immediately after performance.
