Long Beach Central Area Association President and volunteers were guests  of The Pasadena Playhouse for Sunday February 22, 2015 matinee performance of The WHIPPING MAN. "In the aftermath of the Civil War, a Confederate captain and his two former slaves are drawn back to the ruins of their once-grand estate. On the eve of the Passover seder, they are haunted by their scarred pasts, hit with the reality of their uncertain futures, and ultimately drawn together by the strength of family"  The New York Times call the play "Haunting and Powerful". At the theatre before the show, we learned and enjoyed an art installation inspired by the story.
