John Malveaux of www.MusicUNTOLD.com writes:

On February 20, 2014, I attended the 10th Annual NAACP Hollywood Bureau Symposium: "Moving Forward: The State of the Industry." My guest was an emerging film composer Chanda Dancy. The panel of experts discussion and audience Q&A did not reference composers or soundtrack. The past achievements of William Grant Still in film is really astonishing and hopefully will be exceeded some day. This year marks the 70th anniversary of the NEGRO SOLDIER.
