Albany Records 8-13-2013 release of George Walker: Great American Orchestral Works, Vol. 4 - Sinfonia no 4; Antifonys for Strings; Lilacs for voice & Orch. / Albert Lee, tenor was recently reviewed in American Record Guide by David Moore.

American Record Guide (Excerpts)
"A program of orchestral works by George Walker is well worth considering. He is a powerful and basically tonal composer with great emotional depth and a lyric gift as well. This program begins with a recent work, a one-movement Sinfonia 4 (Strands), commissioned by Meet the Composer for 2012, which wanted a ten-minute work. They got a strong but varied piece with material that might have suited a longer time span just as well."
"Sinfonia 4 and Antifonys are played by Sinfonia Varsovia, the other two works by Sinfonia da Camera. They all sound good. This release is important!"
