13th
Hughes
reached a high score on "The
Million Second Quiz" App and was selected to compete LIVE on the
primetime show Friday evening. Tune into the TODAY show at 8:30 am
Friday, September 13 to see her discuss her first moments as a
contestant and then watch her compete live from the money chair
that evening at 8pm ET/PT!
Akilah
Hughes, 23, is from Brooklyn, NY and works
in social media marketing. Hughes graduated high school when she was 15
after skipping two grades, and graduated from Berea College in 2010.
She has her own blog called “It’s
Akilah, Obviously” which features content on
hair, advice, photography, food and comedy. Hughes would use her
winnings to pay off student loans and move to Seattle to be with her
family.
