On May 14, 2013, The Musical Arts Club of Long Beach presented a 1:00 pm concert at Bixby Knolls Towers,  Long Beach, California. John Malveaux was the special guest of Frances Harding (program director) at the preconcert luncheon. Annelle Gregory (violin & dance) and Reiko Obata (koto) shared information about the Koto, dance movements, and wardrobe between performances of a cosmic program combining classical, traditional Japanese, and jazz. The closing compositon was BLACK ORPHEUS by Luiz Bonfa. The program was a delightful follow up to Mother's day of May 12th.  Annelle is the daughter of Reiko.

Thanks
John Malveaux
