Renowned pianist Van Cliburn made appearances with the Oregon Symphony, including the 2007 concert at which he and James DePreist were photographed together.  Maestro James DePreist, featured at AfriClassical.com, died February 8, 2013 at 76; Van Cliburn ws 78 when he passed away Feb. 27, 2013.
