Friday at 10:45 AM ET, DSO.org/live presents a “Live from Detroit's Orchestra Hall” webcast of its Classical Roots concert honoring James DePreist

Hi William –

Tomorrow morning at 10:45am ET at dso.org/live the DSO presents a “Live from Orchestra Hall” webcast of its Classical Roots concert honoring James DePreist (W'58, ASC'61, HON'76).  Maestro DePreist was originally scheduled to conduct this performance before his passing.  In his place our Music Director Leonard Slatkin will lead the orchestra along with bass-baritone Eric Owens.  The concert also features contemporary works by composers Adolphus Hailstork and James Lee  III, both of whom will be in attendance.  (And both will be interviewed at intermission on the radio feed, audio-only, at www.wrcjfm.org.)

Please share this information with AfriClassical readers so they can enjoy tomorrow’s concert in Mr. DePreist’s memory.   The webcast is free to watch and details are below.

Thank you and please let me know if you need any more information.

Best,

Scott
