Suzi More sings at the Newark School of the Arts on Saturday, February 2nd, 2013. She added these four sprituals arranged by William Grant Still for her students. They will be singing selections from the "12 Negro Spirituals" a wonderful set of songs with beautiful engravings and stories related to each song. Judith Still, the daughter of William Grant Still, is a personal friend of Ms. More, who has sung on several of the Still Recital Lectures when they have been presented on the East Coast. The entire lecture recital will be on February 23, 2013. Miss More suffers from several debilitating health issues and three (Dercums, Madelungs and Lipedema) are very rare. Her neck shows the thickening of Madelungs which will at some point need surgery.
