Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day with great classical concerts around Chicago

The nationally renowned Brotherhood Chorale of the Apostolic Church of God will present its ninth annual free concert honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The program will also feature Music Institute of Chicago students who have received financial support through the William Warfield Memorial Scholarship Fund, which offers need-based assistance for minority students.

The Brotherhood Chorale and the William Warfield Scholarship Recipients will join together to perform a work specially composed for the occasion by Music Institute President and CEO Mark George. Students performing with the Chorale include Jada Adamson-Tate (age 9, Skokie), piano student of Claire Neiweem; Nina Liverpool (age 9, Highland Park), piano student of Louise Chan; Hannah White* (age 12, Germantown, Wisc.), violin student of Hye-Sun Lee; Lucienne Williams (age 12, Chicago), viola student of Sarah Montzka; and Mira Williams* (age 14, Chicago), viola student of Marko Dreher.

The performance takes place Sunday, Jan. 20th at 5 pm at MIC’s Nichols Concert Hall, 1490 Chicago Ave., Evanston.  For more information, please visit musicinst.org or call 847.905.1500 ext. 108.
